Formerly a corrupt cop, Keaton is suspected of a number of crimes, including a good few murders. He was kicked off the force, did his time, and then... he died. Or so they were lead to believe. Turning over a new leaf in life, Keaton has settled down with his girlfriend, Edie Finneran, delving into the restaurant business and casting aside his life of crime. Until now. Being dragged in again, Keaton has to finish what's been started. But maybe he's just in too deep.

There's the sound of dripping water. It's the only thing that breaks the silence.

Drip..... drip..... drip.....


The apartment is even worse than the last. If you can even call it an apartment. More like a room. A room with water stains painting the ceiling, holes already in the walls, and suspicious scuttling sounds afoot. It's pitch black save for the small amount of light shining in through a crack in the bathroom door.

Just hours ago he was dead.


Edie was dead. There was no longer any doubt about that. Killed by the same person who had killed him. So why was he here? What was the point?

Keaton sat in a dark corner of the room, his back resting against the corner and his legs sprawled before him. Slumped. There was a gun in his hands. He turned it over and over, seemingly lost in it's movement. Finally, he grasped the gun and brought the muzzle up to the side of his head, his eyes moving to stare directly ahead at the wall. He pulled the trigger.


Click.


Just an empty click from an empty gun to greet him. Empty. He brought it back down and began the motion again, turning it over and over in his hands. Before bringing it up once more.

Keaton is in a run down, hole in the wall apartment somewhere in the crappier parts of the Nexus. He's been there since shortly after he arrived in the Nexus, but only now is he starting to clean up the damages of his first few days.
